Voice

Was that .wav file Lulu's voice and music? To my recollection it sounds like her. We talked via phone only 2 or 3 times in 2000. It was fun. I regret that she and I didn't phone regularly. We were going to meet in person in DC and go, quite appropriately, I thought, to the surrealism show at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. And then of course we didn't meet. --Msggoat 03:49, 1 August 2007 (NZDT)

i'm not finding this file, but would LOVE to hear it... --Elgaroo 18:32, 20 February 2008 (NZDT)

Hi Elgaroo. I'm glad you found the site. I moved some files around on my server and some things got put out of place. I fixed I think, anyway the wav file is there now. It's most definitely Lulu's voice. --Desierto 21:12, 20 February 2008 (NZDT)

got it, awesome, thanks! i think i do actually still have it buried somwhere... i think she posted another audio file later, "update.wav"... i'm checking my files for it now, but if anyone else might possibly have it, i'd love to hear that one again too... --Elgaroo 06:17, 21 March 2008 (NZST)

Internet Archive

so, according to the Internet Archive, they got a "robots.txt" exclusion for electricant.com, and that stuff is all gone now. i don't get why / how that happened, but whatever, it's gone. did anyone save any back-ups of that stuff, other than just the text? if so, can we include / post web pages here, or just the text? if necessary, i can host the html stuff at my server no prob.

annyway, we obviously can't rely on the internet archive to archive important stuff permanently, and should definately back-up and maybe even repost anything we're using them for right now, or really any external links, seeing how things go.P just looking at the long term; we can't trust anyone else to give a fuck. --Elgaroo 06:17, 21 March 2008 (NZST)

I don't have much, I have an archive of stuff I saved on floppy disks and cd's sitting in an attic 8000 miles away, and there is a distinct possibility I'll never see that stuff again. fwiw this site's database and files are backed up to another vps/server in another datacenter each night, and I bring copies down to my desktop every now and then. --Desierto 20:19, 26 March 2008 (NZST)
